It was a big deal to have a United States Visa to me. I was in doupt when I went to the United States Embassy in Ethiopia to have the visa right away. Sometimes they deny a visa for some reason. when the officer gave me a green paper showing that I have got the Visa I was so happy. I huged people around me who wasnt even familer to me. After I have got the visa the next step was booking the air ticket to the Minnesota/USA to some sponsers I knew when was a little kid. I was very curious and eager to see how the United States of America looks like. My first week in the USA was very confusing to me. It was like another world to me. The food, people, and every thing was difficult to me to get use to it. Before i came here in united states i know a little bit about English language. Its difficult for me to communicate to other persons. But I tried to do the best. After I just got to the United States, I didnt went to school because I had to work and sent some money to Etiopia to help my families. I beleive that language unites people. I didnt say this for nothing but in real world if you can talk and understand people its very hard to get together with people.
